A little about this project

We love Fawkham’s small but perfectly formed village school and couldn’t wait to create a new space for their children to play in. Their PTA had raised money so that their children could make use of an outdoor area that had been neglected over many years and had become completely overgrown and inaccessible. The parents stepped in and helped to clear it, which meant we could get underway with creating a very special play area sooner. We continued their work by preparing and installing a safe and future-proofed play surface, with artificial grass on top, before installing a structure for climbing and a nest swing for the daring, or for the more reserved children to enjoy at their own pace. We enjoyed the logistical challenge of installing everything on this sloped piece of ground, so that it was both safe, practical and fun to play on. Our favourite part of any project, the grand opening of the new play area at Fawkham, allowed us to see the children having a great time testing out the equipment and sharing the experience with year groups from EYFS to Key Stage 2. A win all round!
