About Us

The Everyday Play team lives and breathes playgrounds.

We’re a family owned business led by Directors Luke and Lewis – two best friends (and big kids at heart) with a passion for play spaces, and who love what they do.

Our complete solution covers the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of engaging and inspiring playgrounds and play equipment within Kent where we’re based, and all across the South East.

One of the main reasons we stand out as different is the fact that the entire service we deliver is carried out only by our own employed craftsmen and our in-house teams of skilled playground installers. This gives us an unrivalled level of quality control and a thorough understanding of how to support you through the entire process, from initial consultation to completed playground. We won’t fob you off with sub-contractors or new faces at each stage of the project.

Everyday Play believe that our success is in our attention to detail. We take extra care and pride ourselves in ensuring every job is finished to the highest specification and with safety as top priority.

Our Philosophy

The 'Everyday Play Way’ is simply three guiding principles that are ingrained into everything we do:

We’re straight talkers and we know our stuff, so we don’t need to use industry jargon or sales techniques. We want our customers to fully understand the way we work, from beginning to end, and to be assured that we'll be involved with them every step of the way.

From the very first conversation we have with you you’ll realise that we’re not the sort of people who simply tell you what you need. Instead, we really listen to everyone involved in the project (often including the children) to make sure that our solution meets all your requirements.

With genuinely care about every project from start to finish. Until you’re completely happy, we’re not happy. Our business is built on strong relationships so you can rest assured that we’ll deliver a solution with quality, safety and longevity as standard.

If we sound like the sort of company you’d like to work with

Our History

We started Everyday Play with a vision to bring a new level of customer service to the playground industry.

Apart from a few years in the Royal Marines for Lewis, our two Founders and Directors have been in the playground industry for their entire working lives. Both qualified carpenters, they started out as installers for some of the UK’s leading playground companies before moving into more senior Project Management positions until they founded their own business, wanting to do things differently.

Everyday Play originally started life as L&L Creative Spaces, specialising in playground installation, surfacing and maintenance in partnership with major companies in the playground industry, as well as delivering many private landscaping projects.

Over time, the business has grown and developed primarily through recommendations and repeat business. Our service offering has expanded to include design, supply, and maintenance. This means that we can offer our clients a total playground solution from concept to completion, and ongoing service, including warranties, service plans and safety checks for every play space, ensuring it lasts and can be enjoyed for generations.

We’re SafeContractor certified, CHAS, members of the Association of Play Industries, Health and Safety trained, CSCS and SSSTS card holders, and much more. We don't compromise when it comes to quality workmanship, safe working practices and professionalism.

We had ideas of what the play area would look like but Everyday Play went beyond our expectations. They shared a detailed visual drawing of the fully bespoke area with us and after a couple of alterations, it was agreed and the design came to life.

Communication was one of their priorities and it was great to see such a qualified and enthusiastic team.

They were quick to overcome any issues related to working on such a large site. Lewis and all the team at Everyday Play involved us at all stages, ensuring we were happy with each phase prior to works moving forward.

It has been a pleasure to work with such a lovely company and I would highly recommend them.

Everyday Play have undertaken several projects for us. There was excellent communication, administration and delivery of the projects to specification and on time. Sites were left clean and tidy and any snagging issues dealt with immediately.

We will invite Everyday Play to quote for future projects.

We are extremely pleased with the three play areas and miniature adventure golf course that Everyday Play designed and installed which caters for families of all ages.

The whole team, from the Director level to the installers were very professional in the way the work was carried out from start to finish. We established a terrific relationship with Everyday Play, and they listened and discussed any issues or concerns we had during the works period.

They strived to keep disturbance to the public to a minimum including working adaptive hours to suit our needs.

We would have no hesitation in recommending, or using this company again and would like to thank the whole team at Everyday Play.

At Sussex Road School we strive to develop bespoke outdoor environments on a fairly small site. The Everyday Play team have been working closely with us, using their knowledge and skills to safely interpret our somewhat fanciful suggestions, and create imaginative solutions in keeping with the ethos of the school.

It is a pleasure to work alongside Luke and all the members of the Everyday Play team. We look forward to their continued support on future projects, including those currently in the design phase.

I have worked with Luke and his team at Everyday Play on many occasions. He is highly professional, hard working and will always run the extra mile to ensure that his work is carried out to the highest standard. He is keen to ensure that we are happy with progress and will work with us to change and adapt as necessary.

Everyday Play employees are respectful and easy to trust to be on the school site. They understand our risk assessments and are always very keen to ensure that they comply with our wishes. DBS information is provided prior to arrival.

After care is an important part of what Everyday Play provide and they are very willing to return to complete any inspection remedial work as equipment ages. This helps keep equipment in good working order for many years.

I would not hesitate to recommend Everyday Play and I will certainly use this company again both for new installations and for remedial work.
