A little about this project

Aylesford Primary knew exactly what they wanted and came to us having seen our work in a private garden owned by a headteacher of another school. The call to come and visit them and see their outdoor space came as a lovely surprise. A boat was top of their list. A huge boat! And two other super-sized pieces of equipment so that there was something for everyone’s imagination, and room for the whole school to enjoy. Their Wendy House we created having discussed and developed a concept drawn by one of Aylesford’s teachers. We were inspired by their ideas and loved the opportunity to deliver their vision, in real life. In fact, the whole team at Aylesford were involved in the design of their equipment and layout within the space available. We had lots of conversations over the treehouse, to deliver what they needed but without affecting the natural environment negatively, and the result is something that everyone is happy with. This continues to be one of our favourite projects to date, because the equipment is big enough for the Everyday Play team’s ‘big kids’ to have been involved with the children at Aylesford to give it a test run!
