A little about this project

St Matthews Day Nursery has a perfect outdoor space for safe fun, with shading provided by the trees but they’d been longing to make better use of the space with proper surfacing and durable play equipment. The brief included creating a space that was easy to maintain, to be usable in all weather and with safety in mind, the children to be easily visible from every corner of the outdoor area. After clearing and preparing the areas for better drainage of rainwater, we designed and introduced safety surfacing and artificial grass, constructed fencing and installed a play tower with a climbing slope and slide. Needless to say, the team and the children at the setting have fully tested every element and given it a big thumbs up, with lots of smiles!

They shared a detailed visual drawing of the fully bespoke area with us and after a couple of alterations, it was agreed and the design came to life.
